Thanksgiving 2021 Friendly Neighbor Callers

We are thrilled you’re interested in volunteering with us this Thanksgiving morning! There are 5,000 seniors in the Houston/Galveston area who rely on IM's Meals on Wheels program every day. As COVID-19 continues to keep many people apart this holiday season, we have an opportunity for you to bring them a little extra holiday cheer by being a Friendly Neighbor Volunteer Caller!
Please use this registration form to sign up to be a Friendly Neighbor Volunteer Caller. Each Volunteer Caller will call at least 10 of our seniors, on the morning of Thanksgiving Day, to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. Please plan about 90 minutes for this service, starting at 9:00 AM, on the morning of the holiday. For these calls, we will provide a Virtual Phone Bank, which allows you to make calls from an internet-connected device, so your personal number will not be viewable by the call recipient. The details for utilizing our Virtual Phone Bank will be shared, along with a detailed User Guide, prior to Thanksgiving Day. Please provide us with an email address and phone number to which you will have access over the holiday break. We will be in touch soon with the detailed User Guide and instructions for your service on Thanksgiving morning.
